Volkswagen Tacqua: Spare Wheel and Roadside Kit
A Tacqua intended for regional travel should arrive with a clearly agreed roadside kit. Photographs of the cargo floor do not establish what is underneath it, and equipment can differ between versions or previous owners. Before ordering accessories, check the actual vehicle and decide which solution fits the roads and support available at your destination.
Open the cargo-floor compartment
Ask for photographs of the entire compartment and every supplied item. Record whether the vehicle has a spare wheel, a repair kit or another factory arrangement. Note missing trays, securing hardware and tools. Do not assume that a spare supplied with a similar T-Cross or another Tacqua will fit the selected car or its brake equipment.
Check compatibility before ordering
Confirm wheel and tire requirements against the vehicle documentation and a qualified supplier. For a temporary spare, understand the restrictions in the relevant instructions. A wheel that can be bolted on is not automatically an approved combination. If the buyer wants a different solution, verify storage, restraint and compatibility before adding it to the invoice.
Inspect repair-kit condition
Where a compressor and sealant are supplied, inspect cables, fittings, packaging and expiry information. Ask which types of damage the kit can address and what the manual requires afterward. A repair kit does not solve every roadside puncture. Tools also need inspection: damaged jacking equipment or an incorrect lifting method should not become part of the handover.
List the kit in delivery documents
Record agreed items individually with photographs before loading. Confirm transport acceptance for sealants or other restricted products with the carrier. Avoid loose equipment that can move inside the cabin. On arrival, compare the kit with the inventory before the car enters daily use; discovering a missing fitting during a roadside stop is avoidable.
